Our first sicky

Well, we knew it would happen. A week after 'Phia started day care she got sick. She had RSV which is basically a really bad cold. But in little kiddles it's harder for them to cough up the lung butter that gets produced so our peditrician sent us the the hospital. She was there 3 days getting nebbed, suctioned and prodded. It was stressful, exhausting, tearful and not so much fun. But, what matters is that the staff at Medical City helped our tadpole on the way to a full recovery. She's still a little sicky and she gave it to Chris and I (someone needs to tell that girl to cover her mouth when she coughs)but in a week or so we'll all be back to our good health. Just in time for mommy to use her to get free halloween candy!

Here are some pics of her hospital stay. We made her a little nest in her bed out of blankets so she'd be super cozy.

Dress Up

Grandma Honie made 'Phia her christening gown. I couldn't wait for the baby dedication at church so I dressed her up in it now.

The blanket with matching bear is from the grandma of our dear friend Darrah. As you can see 'Phia felt the need to dress down since Bear dressed up.

A Big Week!

We had plenty of firsts this week! Saturday was the first time the mom and dad went on a date since the night Sophia was conceived...just kidding. Let's just say it's been a while. Grandma came over and her and 'Phia had a blast. That Sunday was her first day in Sunday school at church. For the occassion she wore her signature purple and a sassy hat! (See Below)
And today was her first day at school. Although she's not doing much now other than sleeping and eating and pooping but she has A's in all those subjects!

And you can also see that all this activity at the Milazzo house made Shadow very tired!

Tadpole Update

Sophia has changed so much in the last month. She smiles now and coos and doesn't like to sleep at all!! She so does not get that from me. She must get that from her dad. Her and 'Doori are bonding. They are going to have a lasting friendship. We love her so much even tho' we are too tired to think most days.

Here are some pics of what she and the family have been up to in the last few weeks. I don't have captions for any of them cuz I'm 1) not that talented and 2) oh... so... very... tired.

PS- My mom pointed out that it's hard to believe how tired we are b/c 'Phia's asleep in alomst every picture. Well, just to clarify...she's got no problem sleeping in the day as you can see by all the natural light in the pics. It's the night when she feels the need to party like a vampire!
